iPhone Browser web prowling and iPhone Date is June 20

If you own a website keep a look out for

Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU like Mac OS X; en) AppleWebKit/420+ (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/3.0 Mobile/1A538a Safari/419.3

That is the new browser agent string saying "Hi" to some websites. Looks like Apple is busy testing its yet to be released iPhone.

Another news is the iPhone Date. CNBC announces the iPhone Date is June 20th, iPhones will be in stores on June 20th. iPhone sales/support training runs from May 30th - June 20th, giving more credibility to the June 20th date.

A AP News article says

"Siegel said he did not know where the June 20 date came from.

Clerks contacted at eight AT&T stores in New York said they had been told the iPhone would launch on dates ranging from June 11 to June 22.

Apple spokeswoman Natalie Kerris would not confirm or deny the date. However, she noted "We have said consistently that we're looking forward to shipping the iPhone in late June and that has not changed." "

Apple iPhone , a new smaller iphone?

The newly submitted apple iphone patent hints at a smaller iPhone. Check it out. From the patent: A smaller iphone with display screens on both sides of the phone.

"An electronic device uses separate surfaces for input and output. One of the surfaces (e.g. the bottom) includes a force-sensitive touch-surface through which a user provides input (e.g. cursor manipulation and control element selection).

"On a second surface (e.g. the top), a display element is used to present information appropriate to the device's function (e.g. video information), one or more control elements and a cursor. The cursor is controlled through manipulation of the back-side touch-surface. The cursor identifies where on the back-side touch-surface the user's finger has made contact.

"When the cursor is positioned over the desired control element, the user selects or activates the function associated with the control element by applying pressure to the force-sensitive touch-surface with their finger.

"Accordingly, the electronic device may be operated with a single hand, wherein cursor movement and control element selection may be accomplished without lifting one's finger."

Subject: iPhone Launch Period

Date: May 4, 2007

As previously announced, Apple and AT&T will soon debut the iPhone,
which combines a mobile phone, a widescreen iPod with touch controls, and
breakthrough internet communications into one small and lightweight
handheld device. The new AT&T has a multiyear, exclusive agreement to
provide U.S. service for the iPhone.

To ensure proper staffing during the product launch period, Sales personnel
planning to take approved time off are encouraged to schedule their
vacations before June 15 or after July 15 to participate in the iPhone
launch.

Previously approved vacation will be allowed where voluntary rescheduling
is not feasible

No additional vacation requests will be approved during the launch period
(6/15 – 7/15).

I want to thank you in advance for your understanding as this is likely to
be the biggest selling period we have seen in a few years.

Happy Selling,

Come On!

Brandish your iPhone search for "starbucks" in google earth and through location based towers it shows you the closest Starbucks and automatically calls the number! So you can order away and its ready when you get there.
